Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director of Development for Regional Programs the Senior Regional Development Officer will be assigned to represent the University in one or more geographic regions. Coordinating with the Universitys overall fundraising program the Senior Regional Development Officer will maintain and manage a personal portfolio of top prospects to identify cultivate and solicit principal and major gifts to support the University.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills. The skill to motivate and engender the confidence of prospects and donors. Ability to interact effectively in a comprehensive environment such as a research university setting; and exhibit the highest standards of professionalism and performance as evidenced by collaborative teamwork initiative critical thinking good judgment consistency of output timeliness of follow-through and strength of written and verbal communication skills. Travel and some weekend work are required.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
5-7 years of demonstrated successful principal and major gift fundraising or transferrable experience. Prefer candidates who live in the Metro New York area.
