The Talbot Group is the visionary manager and developer behind Barkley Village a vibrant 250-acre mixed-use urban village in Bellingham WA.Over the past 30 years we have cultivated a dynamic blend of residential retail office and community assets and now proudly own and managethe majority ofthe property within the village.As we embark on an exciting phase of master planning and entitling property for significant growth over the next 10-15 years we are seeking a detail-oriented and flexible individual to join our team as a Development Project Manager.

About the role:
As the Senior Property Manager you will provide leadership for the day-to-day operations financial performance and long-term success of a diverse mixed-use portfolio that includes retail office and residential properties.Youllpartner closely with ownership while leading property operations cultivating strong tenant relationships managing capital improvement initiatives andidentifyingopportunities to maximize asset value.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial property management professional who enjoys balancing strategic planning with hands-on leadership while contributing to the continued growth of one of the regions most dynamic mixed-use communities.
What you will be doing:
Property Operations
- Lead the day-to-day operations ofa mixed-use commercial property ensuring exceptional standards for maintenance safety cleanliness and overall tenant experience.
- Establish and enhance operational policies and procedures that support efficiency and service excellence.
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and building codes.
- Oversee vendor relationships negotiate service contracts and manage capital improvement projects from planning through completion.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor operating performance analyze variances and implement cost-control initiatives.
- Oversee rent collection accounts receivable and payable and financial reporting.
- Identifyopportunities to enhance revenue improve operationalefficiencies and maximize long-termasset value.
Tenant Relations & Leasing Support
- Build strong relationships with retail office and residential tenants while deliveringa high levelof customer service.
- Address tenant requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Partner with leasing teams to support tenant retention efforts and new leasing initiatives.
- Coordinate tenant move-ins move-outs and tenant improvement projects.
Leadership
- Lead coach and develop property management staff engineers and support personnel.
- Foster a collaborative high-performing team environment.
- Coordinate the work of security maintenance and third-party service providers to ensure seamless property operations.
Strategic Asset Management
- Partner with ownership and asset management leadership to execute business plans and operational strategies.
- Provide recommendations on property positioning operational improvements and market opportunities.
- Support capital planning initiatives and long-term asset management strategies.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all legal environmental and safety regulations.
- Lead emergency preparedness and risk management efforts.
- Maintainaccurateproperty documentation and operational records.
Experience You Will Bring
- Bachelors degree in Business Real Estate Property Management ora relatedfield.
- Seven (7) or more years of commercial property management experience with mixed-use experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing large complex commercial assets or portfolios.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing operating budgets and financial reporting.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach develop and motivate high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills witha strongcustomer service orientation.
- Experienceutilizingproperty management software and reporting systems.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Property Manager (CPM) Real Property Administrator (RPA) or similar professional designation.
- Experience managing mixed-use developments integrating retail office and residential components.
- Knowledge of local commercial real estate market conditions and leasing practices.
