Senior Project Specialist DPIS Chicago Air & Sea US

The Senior Project Specialist is responsible for managing complex logistics and transportation projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services to customers. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication organizational and analytical skills. The Senior Project Specialist will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are completed within budget and timelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and execute complex logistics and transportation projects from start to finish
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope goals and deliverables
• Develop project plans timelines and budgets
• Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
• Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets
• Build and maintain relationships with customers vendors and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain project documentation

Educational background / Work experience

• Bachelors degree in business logistics supply chain management or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics transportation or supply chain management
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines
• Experience working with cross-functional teams

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication organizational and analytical skills
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge of logistics and transportation operations
• Familiarity with project management software and tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)

• May supervise project team members or provide guidance to junior staff members

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in business logistics supply chain management or a related field
• Certification in project management (e.g. PMP Prince2)

Language skills

• Fluent in English (oral and written)

Computer Literacy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project Asana)

For this position the expected base pay range is $65520.00 $81900.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience skills education certifications and geographic location in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
