Senior Project Manager

Duties & Responsibilities
Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:

• Participate in the project proposal and bid process in conjunction with the Sales department
• Negotiate approve and execute prime contracts subcontracts and change orders
• Review evaluate and implement project specifications drawing releases and design changes
• Communicate project status risks schedule and costs to all internal and external stakeholders
• Develop review and approve internal and external project reports including project budgeting project cash flow forecast and project status reports
• Routinely present project updates to senior management
• Lead multi-discipline project team in support of assigned project
• Direct and oversee the subcontract bid process and prepare detailed scope of work documents for Supplier and Subcontract contracts.
• Develop implement execute and oversee Prime Contract and Subcontractor invoicing process
• Direct the securing of applicable project permits
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Civil Engineering Construction Science Construction Management or related field is required. Ten years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups is required. Experience in managing high voltage projects is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated understanding of substations substation control and transmission systems is strongly preferred
• Understand financial aspects of project controls
• Ability to negotiate and influence key decision makers
• Technical writing skills with an understanding of business management concepts
• Proficient in cost control or project management software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Excel PowerPoint and Word)
• Travel to project sites as necessary

• This position requires minimal physical effort.
• Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day
• While performing the duties of this job the employee will primarily work indoors with occasional outdoor exposure to year around weather conditions and noise.
• Must be able and willing to travel overnight for trainings and/or meetings as required (10%)
• Working extended hours including weekends may be required periodically.
• May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
