The Sr. Records Project Manager will oversee and manage a team responsible for maintaining records management FOIA and declassification at our government site. Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Supervision:
Lead a team of records management specialists to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Develop and manage comprehensive project management plans including communications risk management change management training and business process improvement plans.
Lead continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance records management operations compliance and organizational efficiency.
Track contract performance metrics milestones deliverables and quality objectives to ensure successful contract execution.
Manage records disposition activities including transfers to the Washington National Records Center (WNRC) NARA and authorized destruction of temporary records.
Prepare and process Standard Form 135 and Electronic Records Archive documentation supporting records transfer and disposition.
Administer and maintain Archives and Records Centers Information System tracking and reporting.
Coordinate archival retrieval labeling inventory and transfer of permanent records in accordance with Federal records management requirements.
Implement and maintain records management policies and procedures per guidelines and federal regulations.
Oversee the creation maintenance retrieval and disposition of records alongside the client throughout their lifecycle.
Prepare reports and presentations detailing operational progress compliance status and team performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders including government personnel contractors and non-government organizations to resolve issues and improve processes.
Identify opportunities for enhancing records management processes and implementing best practices.
Utilize technology and automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in records management operations.
Conduct and manage classified records reviews referrals and declassification determinations involving Restricted Data (RD) Formerly Restricted Data (FRD) and Critical Nuclear Weapons Design Information (CNWDI).
Coordinate with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and other Federal agencies on declassification referrals and equity reviews.
Support the development maintenance and continuous improvement of the Records Declassification Guide.
Utilize and maintain the Document Declassification Support System (DDSS) and other Government-provided systems supporting declassification operations.
Develop coordinate and deliver records management and declassification training for leadership Records Liaisons and agency personnel.
Prepare and deliver executive briefings program updates and compliance presentations to senior Government leadership.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications
*Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility is required for consideration*
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in records management with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisoryrole.
Experience working on federal government contracts is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of federal records management regulations (e.g. NARA guidelines 36 CFR Chapter XII).
Proficiency with records management systems and tools such as electronic records management systems (ERMS) and content management platforms.
Proven ability to manage motivate and develop a diverse team.
Strong decision-making problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Department of Energy Historical Records Restricted Data Reviewer certification preferred.
