As Senior Project Manager youll assume full responsibility for the planning execution financial performance and successful completion of multiple construction projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead commercial and federal government construction projects from award through final completion.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners architects engineers government representatives and project stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project schedules budgets manpower plans and procurement strategies.
- Direct project teams including Project Engineers Assistant Project Managers Superintendents and field personnel.
- Oversee subcontractor selection contract administration and project procurement activities.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) submittals change orders and project documentation.
- Identify project risks early and implement proactive solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.
- Conduct project meetings and maintain effective communication among all project participants.
- Ensure compliance with federal contracting requirements quality standards and safety regulations.
- Review project financial performance forecasting cost controls and monthly reporting.
- Mentor and develop junior project management staff while promoting operational excellence across the organization.
Were seeking an experienced construction professional with a proven record of successfully managing technically complex projects.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Approximately 15 years of project management experience within commercial and government construction.
- Demonstrated experience leading federal construction projects for agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs Department of Defense GSA USACE or other government entities.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of federal contracting procedures specifications and compliance requirements.
- Extensive experience managing project schedules budgets subcontractors and client relationships.
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings specifications and contract documents.
- Strong knowledge of project management software scheduling platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional leadership communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
