Job Description:
As a Senior Project Manager you will lead complex cross-functional initiatives focused on program implementation operational transformation and stakeholder coordination. You will be responsible for translating policy and strategic objectives into actionable plans ensuring alignment across diverse teams and external partners. This role requires strong leadership organizational expertise and the ability to manage multiple workstreams while driving accountability decision-making and successful delivery from planning through stabilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate workstreams governance meetings and cross-functional coordination efforts
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans including scope timelines dependencies and deliverables
- Build subject matter expertise in program requirements and translate them into actionable tasks
- Establish and maintain project artifacts such as RACI matrices RAID logs and status reports
- Identify risks and issues early implement mitigation strategies and manage escalation processes
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery
- Support external coordination activities by organizing materials and tracking commitments
- Drive change management efforts including stakeholder engagement communication planning and training readiness
- Ensure accurate documentation of decisions actions and project outcomes
- Provide leadership support mentor team members and strengthen governance practices
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining clarity and progress across priorities
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
- 7 years of experience managing large complex multi-workstream initiatives
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive stakeholder alignment
- Strong experience in facilitating meetings driving decisions and ensuring follow-through
- Expertise in project management tools and practices including workplans RAID logs and RACI matrices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to produce executive-level reporting
- Ability to quickly understand complex program requirements and operational workflows
- Strong problem-solving organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
- Experience in healthcare public sector or regulated environments (preferred)
- Familiarity with compliance-driven programs or federal-state initiatives (preferred)
- PMP or equivalent project management certification (preferred)
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
