Senior Project Engineer

This isnt your typical Project Engineer role.

About 80% of your time will be hands-on engineering and project delivery with the other 20% focused on project management and client coordination. Youll stay close to the technical work while using your experience to lead projects mentor others and build strong client relationships.

Civiltec Engineering is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to provide senior-level technical leadership for civil infrastructure projects throughout Arizona. Projects may include water utilities natural gas pipelines municipal infrastructure drainage site development and general civil engineering.

What Youll Be Doing

• Lead civil engineering design analysis and project delivery from concept through completion.

• Prepare and oversee plans specifications calculations reports estimates permits and construction documents.

• Provide technical direction engineering judgment and QA/QC for project deliverables.

• Direct AutoCAD Civil 3D design and production efforts including base mapping utility research conflict identification and plan preparation for civil water utility and natural gas pipeline projects.

• Serve as Engineer of Record and sign/seal documents as required.

• Lead and mentor project teams while coordinating with clients consultants agencies utilities contractors and other stakeholders.

• Support project scope schedules budgets resources client coordination and successful delivery.

• Support proposals fee development technical approaches presentations and business development activities.

• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound engineering judgment solve complex problems and deliver high-quality work.

• Assist with proposals scopes of work fee development technical approaches and business development activities as needed.

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.

• Current Arizona PE license required.

• 510 years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience.

• Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.

• Experience with civil infrastructure projects particularly water utilities natural gas municipal drainage or site development.

• Strong technical judgment communication problem-solving and leadership skills.

• Ability to balance hands-on engineering with project management client service and mentoring.
