Job Summary
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Melbourne this role you will support the development and delivery of advanced RF hardware firmware and software products. You will apply your background in product and project management to drive schedules coordinate resources track execution and manage budgets. Youll work within a creative innovative and highly collaborative team that delivers cutting-edge solutions to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage detailed project plans including schedules milestones risk assessments resource plans and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate multiple concurrent projects at varying stages of the product lifecycle.
Lead product lifecycle activities from new product introduction (NPI) through production ramp sustainment continuous improvement and end-of-life ensuring on-time on-budget execution.
Serve as a primary technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers.
Translate high-level product and engineering requirements into actionable technical direction for manufacturing operations and production teams maintaining awareness of ongoing work to identify gaps conflicts and integration risks.
Coordinate bill of material (BOM) lead times assembly priorities and release schedules.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Manufacturing Aerospace Systems or related technical discipline).
5 years of project management experience taking products into production.
Proven experience supporting the full product lifecycle including NPI production ramp sustaining engineering process optimization and continuous improvement with hands-on technical involvement.
Demonstrated ability to convert high-level technical direction into actionable engineering guidance and align technical priorities with available resources and in-flight work.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional technical teams and engage diverse stakeholders using strong interpersonal skills.
Strong oral written and presentation skills.
Experience applying Lean and/or Six Sigma principles to manufacturing process improvement and sustaining operations.
Desired:
Masters degree in Mechanical Electrical Optical Aerospace Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
Systems engineering mindset with the ability to understand technical interactions and trade-offs across multiple disciplines (e.g. mechanical optical electrical thermal).
Lean Green Belt or Six Sigma certification.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including but not limited to geographic location Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates relevant prior work experience specific skills and competencies education and certifications.
