Job Summary

IPS is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer with demonstrated experience in the design manufacture installation and operation of wastewater treatment systems to join our clients team. The position will report directly to the Project Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing supporting installing and troubleshooting water treatment systems at our customer sites both domestically and internationally. This is a high-profile customer-facing position that will require someone with experience in managing complex high-pressure situations. This position will be located at our clients Headquarters in Lexington Kentucky but will require up to 50% travel.


Responsibilities:


  • System Design and Testing
  • Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams Process and Installation Diagrams Process and Installation Equipment Lists per customer requirements
  • Preparation of IO Lists Cause & Effect Matrices and PLC Configuration
  • Support HAZOP Analysiss as required
  • Prepare and perform Factory Acceptance Testing and associated reports
  • Installation Commissioning and Ongoing Support of the systems
  • Communication with customers prior to during and following the installation of the systems
  • On-site commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing
  • Data analysis to diagnose system performance and prevent failures or downtime
  • Travel to customer sites for routine maintenance or upgrades
  • Optimization of our clients system design and implementation
  • Compiling analyzing and sharing data from customer sites with the team to improve system and process design
  • Generating procedures and manuals to ensure consistent implementation and maintenance of customer-deployed systems


Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Demonstrated minimum of 5 years experience with installation and commissioning of chemical processing equipment
  • Ability to travel to customer sites
  • Hands-on mechanical assembly piping and electrical experience
  • Must be proficient in English (written and verbal)
  • Strong people skills for interacting with customers
  • Experience in process controls a plus
  • Experience in fluid dynamics a plus
