Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced proactive and goal-oriented professional to lead Manufacturing Readiness for Turbine Airfoils Castings in the Operations organization.

The Product Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for execution of COPQ Projects shop support and execution of MRL Assessments (PFMEA Measurement System Analysis & Control Plans among others) to improve Supplier and Internal Shop Quality and delivery signature. Scope of this role will include both Pratt & Whitney internal shop and supply chain components.

What You Will Do:

• As part of the Integrated Product Team drive manufacturing risk identification mitigation and improvements to quality performance using Problem Solving Methodologies (DMAIC 8D Fishbone Diagrams PFMEA and Process Controls).
• Use statistical analysis tools to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product.
• Participate in manufacturing reviews transitions new product introduction and manufacturing standard work improvements.
• Participate in Supplier assessments for technical and manufacturing capability and quality.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors degree in engineering with 5 years of prior relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering Operations Engineering or Quality; OR Advanced Degree with prior relevant experience via Research Internships or COOPs.
• Experience working with suppliers and leading continuous improvement activities.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient.
• Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word Excel PowerPoint and to use Minitab and other statistical software.

Qualifications We Value:

• Investment Casting experience preferred
• Manufacturing of Aerospace Turbine Airfoil Components preferred
• Proficiency in statistics data analytics DOE and multivariate statistics using Minitab or other statistical software
• Six Sigma or Project Management Certification preferred

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
