Job Description

We need someone with 5 years of product management experience (ideally in B2B or enterprise software) who has a track record of owning the full product arc - from vision and strategy through detailed execution and GTM. You should be comfortable running discovery sessions with non-technical users (truckers dispatchers fleet managers) both in person and remotely and have demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguous complex product launches. Bonus points if you have a background in transportation trucking logistics fuel cards or fleet payments.

What youll do:

  • Develop a deep point of view on AtoBs competitive position and where to invest next - grounded in direct conversations with customers and ecosystem partners (freight brokers factoring companies fuel networks)
  • Own the strategy and roadmap for your product area end-to-end including success metrics sequencing and trade-offs
  • Lead a cross-functional pod of engineers designers BizOps and partners across Sales Partnerships and Support - from discovery through launch and iteration
  • Run user research with fleet managers and drivers including in-the-field visits grounding every decision in real customer pain
  • Use GenAI tooling (Claude Code and similar) to prototype quickly and align the org behind a shared vision before committing engineering resources
  • Partner with design to ship UX that works for users with widely varying levels of technical fluency on devices ranging from desktops in dispatch offices to phones on the road
What to ask candidates
  • Tell me about a product decision you drove primarily from user research - how you ran discovery (especially with non-technical or non-obvious users) what you learned that wasnt in the data and what you shipped as a result.
  • Walk me through the largest 0 1 product you owned end-to-end from strategy through launch.
  • Are you based in the SF Bay Area (or willing to relocate) and able to work in-office 4 days/week
  • Can the candidate be on-site If not is the candidate willing to relocate
  • What is their salary expectation
  • How actively is this candidate exploring new opportunities
  • Use data (SQL or equivalent) to drive prioritization measure impact and make the case for what to build next
Rejected candidate feedback
  • Prioritize candidates with proven 0 1 product ownership and robust user research with non-tech field users rather than solely AI/tech-heavy roles.
  • Focus on sourcing profiles with experience in B2B/enterprise contexts particularly within transportation trucking or logistics.
  • Avoid candidates emphasizing AI buzzwords without tangible evidence of strategic product decisions and end-user impact.
Seniority

5 - 10 years of experience 5 years in product management ideally B2B or enterprise software (10 is hard ceiling definitely not 15)

Work experience

Strong customer/user- research track record - ran discovery with end users and shipped product from it

Owned a 0 1 product end- to- end (spec launch iteration) - founding PM or equivalent ownership

Built customer- facing product (not internal tooling) for non- technical / field / consumer- grade end users

Payments / fintech product experience

Logistics / trucking / fleet / fuel- card domain

Comes from one of the target companies: Lyft Uber Shopify CashApp Block Square Meta Walmart LI DoorDash

Hard skills

Hands- on or strongly curious with GenAI prototyping (Claude Code Lovable agents)

SQL or equivalent data querying for decisions

Miscellaneous

Based in or willing to relocate to SF Bay Area; 4 days/week in office

Traits to avoid

Too senior - 15 years / Principal whos leveled past hands- on building

Too data- focused - over- indexes on metrics/experimentation at the expense of user research

Too internal- facing - internal- tooling- only even with relevant fleet domain

Job- hopping / short stints

AI buzzwords without substance - name- drops AI but cant show user- research- driven product work
