Senior Product Manager, Optimization and Licensing Assessment (OLA)

As customers accelerate their move to the cloud migration and modernization assessments are becoming the critical first step on the path to an agentic future. AWS is looking for a Product Manager to own and grow the Optimization and Licensing Assessment (OLA) program a portfolio of assessment offerings spanning Microsoft Database Storage and more. You will own the strategy roadmap and execution that keep the program delivering against its targets setting annual goals defining what success looks like and steering the program as conditions change.

A core part of this role is turning data into decisions. You will use analytical tools to build and maintain tracking and reporting that gives the business visibility into assessment volume pipeline engagement and delivery performance then translate those insights into clear business recommendations on where to invest what to prioritize and how to course-correct. You will own forecasting so leadership has a reliable forward view for resourcing and planning. Beyond internal execution you will manage the third-party vendor and partner relationships OLA depends on covering roadmap alignment incentive structures invoicing and commercial coordination while partnering closely with sellers partners and customers to shape licensing and assessment strategies.

Key job responsibilities
- Define and execute the OLA program strategy owning the roadmap annual goals and delivery targets across multiple assessment offerings while identifying and negotiating complex partner and vendor deals.
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards and forecasting models interpreting data from analytical tools to surface actionable business recommendations that guide program investment and priorities.
- Manage the lifecycle of third-party vendor and consulting partner relationships including roadmap alignment incentive design invoicing and commercial coordination.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing Service teams Field teams and aligned Program teams to represent the OLA program in go-to-market strategy and contribute to planning documents.
- Gather and synthesize customer and partner feedback to inform product feature requests and future road-mapping decisions working directly with product and engineering organizations.

A day in the life
You might start the morning reviewing OLA pipeline dashboards checking how assessment volume and delivery are tracking against plan and flagging items that need attention. Mid-morning could bring a working session where you build a new reporting query or refine a forecast for an upcoming leadership review. After lunch you join a cross-team strategy discussion with Product Marketing and Field stakeholders then shift to a vendor check-in on incentive alignment. Later in the afternoon you use AI tools to prototype an automation that streamlines a manual reporting workflow wrapping up with partner coordination that keeps the program moving forward.

This role sits within the AWS Infrastructure Migration and Modernization team part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5 years of Go-To-Market Business Development Sales or Consulting experience
- 5 years of in program management workforce strategy development or metrics-driven decision making experience
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Bachelors degree

- Experience using analytical tools for workforce metrics and reporting
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations across leadership and cross-functional teams
- Masters degree in business data science public administration finance engineering human resources or related field or PMP certificate

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
