Senior Product Engineer (IP Doors and Honda exp)

General Description

• Responsible to identify design and develop a product/product family.
• Ensures production procedures efficiently utilize materials and personnel.
• Tests finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary.
• They receive and process changes required by clients released on production (not launches) at a SR Level responsible to develop the product from the concept up to the SOP on a limited basis (if it is a BTP Built to Print) or as a full development as an FSS Full-Service Supplier.
• May develop uncover characterize and assess strategic new products and/or product extensions.
• Transforms and adopts discoveries to ensure research and development activities will maintain an organizations competitive position.
• May also focus on pure research and/or design and implementing the manufacturing processes and equipment for the product

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Materials Science or a related field.
• Experience: 48 years of experience in product engineering with direct experience in a Tier 1 automotive or OEM manufacturing environment.
• Core Tools: Proficient in AIAG core tools including APQP PPAP FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA) Control Plans and SPC.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of GD&T tolerance stack-up analysis and CAD software (CATIA NX SolidWorks).
• Knowledge Base: Specific expertise in IP door panel consoles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
• IATF 16949 auditor certification.
