We are seeking a dynamic Senior Process Improvement Engineer to spearhead operational excellence within our production this role you will be pivotal in managing equipment and process efficiency while troubleshooting issues to enhance safety quality delivery cost-effectiveness and morale.- Take ownership of all equipment and tooling within the production area overseeing from Advanced Manufacturing Engineer sign-off onwards
- Serve as the primary troubleshooter for plant processes collaborating with maintenance staff for equipment repairs
- Enhance Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) in the area through continuous monitoring and improvement efforts
- Provide recommendations for equipment and tooling enhancements approving new purchases as needed
- Conduct audits of Preventative Maintenance plans to ensure compliance and maximize equipment uptime
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Business Leader to prioritize maintenance actions for the area
- Ensure the calibration and maintenance of all equipment along with managing special tools
- Offer insights on equipment specifications based on industry best practices and lessons learned
- Adjust monitor and document technical processes including deviations MCI MCP via BCR process
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to swiftly address and resolve production line issues
- Partner with Quality and Operations teams to improve metrics such as OEE Scrap Yield and Service Call Rate (SCR)
- Analyze process data and reports daily driving resolutions for any defects
- Support Team Leaders in creating Standard Work and Job Instruction methods
- Collaborate with Plant Operations personnel to proactively address factory inefficiencies
- Continuously identify and reduce waste in the production area
- Engage with various stakeholders on short-term and long-term improvement initiatives
Qualifications for Success:
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting high-volume manufacturing equipment
- Proven ability to influence and drive change effectively
- Experience in material flow management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills complemented by strong interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft products especially Excel and adeptness in learning new systems
- Strong project management and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Experience with time studies and/or standard work application
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work flexible hours around the manufacturing schedule
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering/Operations/Quality support roles
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations preferably in unionized environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering/Operations/Quality support roles
- Familiarity with Appliances manufacturing processes
- Expertise in Controls PMs mechanical hydraulic pneumatics and welding techniques
- Training and experience in lean manufacturing practices
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience in Quality Leadership and Program Management
