Job Summary
- Infosys is seeking an exceptional writer and strategic communicator to lead a hybrid role that unites two closely related disciplines: research-led thought leadership for the Banking and Financial Services vertical and executive communications on behalf of the Financial Services unit leader.
- The role owns both the intellectual agenda and the executive voice. On one hand it drives the strategic direction for differentiated insights and industry perspectives that strengthen Infosys position as a trusted AI transformation partner to global banking and financial services clients. On the other it acts as the trusted communications partner and ghostwriter to the senior executive - shaping how the leader shows up across keynotes media professional social platforms and company-wide and client communications.
- The successful candidate will combine strong domain fluency in banking and financial services with outstanding storytelling speechwriting and stakeholder engagement capabilities. They will translate complex business and technology themes into a compelling consistent narrative that elevates both the executive and the wider Financial Services unit.
- This is a highly matrixed role. While reporting to the AVP Marketing it works in close partnership with the Infosys Knowledge Institute Marketing and Sales and operates as a discreet trusted extension of the FS unit leaders office.
Key Responsibilities
- Thought Leadership & Research Strategy for BFS
- Working with the AVP marketing and the Infosys Knowledge Institute (IKI) to define the thought leadership strategy and execute a thought leadership agenda that supports the priorities of the BFS unit.
- Identify emerging themes and disruptive trends across the banking and financial services industry.
- In partnership with Marketing and the IKI develop forward-looking perspectives on domain and technology topics.
- Lead the production of high-quality assets survey-based reports whitepapers executive briefs point-of-view papers and industry trend analyses and translate them into CXO-ready insight.
- Develop messaging frameworks and narratives that connect thought leadership to go-to-market and sales priorities.
- Uphold editorial standards brand voice and quality across all executive and unit content.
- Executive Communications
- Serve as the primary ghostwriter and communications partner to the BFS unit leader capturing their voice point of view and priorities.
- Draft keynotes video scripts talking points and media messaging for both internal and external audiences.
- Prepare the executive for speaking engagements panels media interviews and analyst discussions with tailored briefings and messaging.
- Ensure a consistent authentic executive voice across every channel and format.
- Draft company-wide emails and client communications on behalf of the executive for internal and external audiences.
- Support the construction of messaging in presentation decks ensuring narrative clarity and consistency across internal and external materials.
- Executive Thought Leadership & Profile Building
- Build the executives profile as a recognised industry expert across targeted media panels and professional social networks
- Develop and manage perspective papers byline articles and quotes attributed to the leader on the themes shaping banking and financial services.
- Own and curate the executives LinkedIn presence and social content calendar including original posts commentary and engagement narratives.
- Identify and secure high-value speaking media and industry-forum opportunities that raise the leaders external visibility.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Industry Positioning
- Partner closely with Marketing IKI PR and Sales to align research messaging and campaigns with client priorities and go-to-market initiatives.
- Monitor global banking and financial services trends competitive positioning and regulatory developments to keep the executive platform current and credible.
- Build relationships with industry analysts media academic institutions fintech ecosystems and research organisations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Communications Journalism Business Finance Economics or a related discipline.
- 16 years of experience spanning executive communications speechwriting corporate communications thought leadership marketing ideally with exposure to financial services research consulting or industry strategy.
- Exceptional writing ghostwriting and storytelling ability with a proven track record of producing executive-level content and speeches.
- Demonstrated experience building senior-leader profiles and social presence (e.g. LinkedIn) across media panels and industry forums.
- Strong understanding of the global financial services and technology landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to operate discreetly and effectively within highly matrixed global organisations.
- Media relations PR or analyst-engagement experience (e.g. Gartner Forrester IDC Everest HFS).
