Overview

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is building Oracle Video @ Edge a next-generation streaming platform for premium live and linear video delivery. We are seeking a Senior Principal Ad Tech and Video Protocols Engineer to define how monetization signals ad workflows and streaming protocols operate across OVE.

This role will ensure OVE supports revenue-critical ad insertion measurement timed metadata protocol interoperability and playback continuity across hybrid delivery paths.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Define OVE architecture for ad signaling timed metadata protocol behavior and monetization integration

• Design integration patterns for SSAI CSAI VAST VMAP SCTE-35 ad beacons and measurement workflows

• Drive protocol compatibility across HLS DASH CMAF low-latency HLS WebRTC QUIC and MoQ-adjacent delivery paths

• Partner with player packager relay control plane observability and product teams to validate live ad workflows

• Debug playback protocol metadata ad decisioning and measurement failures during test and live-event scenarios

• Define requirements for customer integrations partner ecosystems and live-event readiness

• Support customer pilots post-event reviews and platform hardening for monetized live streaming

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in video streaming ad tech media platforms protocol engineering or related distributed systems

• Deep knowledge of SSAI CSAI VAST VMAP SCTE-35 timed metadata ad measurement and live ad workflows

• Strong understanding of HLS DASH CMAF low-latency streaming DRM interactions playback behavior and protocol edge cases

• Experience designing integrations across players packagers ad decisioning systems measurement vendors CDNs and edge infrastructure

• Experience with high-scale live or linear streaming systems is strongly preferred

• Programming experience in Java Go C JavaScript TypeScript Python or similar production languages

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $135200 to $306400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus equity and compensation deferral.
