Senior Plant Accountant

This position performs a variety of accounting activities under minimal supervision to ensure timely and accurate journal entries reconciliations and reporting.

• Prepare account reconciliations and book month end journal entries as assigned.
• Prepare monthly analysis of factory overhead and assist in preparation of monthly forecast
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation based on performance of interim inventories factor reviews and play a key role in the coordination of physical inventory.

• Assist with various audits including financial and operational audits.
• Ensure proper internal controls exist and perform audits to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Participate in process improvement to standardize best practices.
• Provide pertinent financial/accounting data to management.

• Bachelors Degree inAccounting required.
• 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

• CPA/CMA and Masters degree preferred.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Must be comfortable making oral presentations to peers and management.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Strong organizational skills required to manage various projects.
• Deadline-driven and self-motivated.
