Senior Accounting Manager

Essential Job Functions

• Manage general ledger payroll and payroll related entries as well as payroll balance sheet reconciliations.

• Gather and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts documenting business transactions.
• Conduct statistical analyses to determine trends estimates and significant changes and write narrative reports explaining findings.
• Analyze financial information detailing assets liabilities and capital and prepare balance sheet profit and loss statement and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers.
• Ascertain proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated limits.
• Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
• Review investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries documents and reports.
• Assist accounting management with review processing preparing and analysis of monthly close entries.
• Responsible for reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as assigned and ensuring accuracy of account balances.
• Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves assets and expenditures. As well as the accounting process and procedures for improvement of the companys accounting operations.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field; masters degree preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• 8 years of accounting experience; corporate accounting preferred.
• Experience with Payroll systems; UKG a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite.
• Intermediate level knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls including general ledger journal entries accounts receivable accounts payable fixed assets and payroll.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Access and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and auditing skills.
• Ability to identify and implement new processes for efficiency and enhanced controls.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees management and external to maximize performance creativity problem solving and results.
