What You Will Do
The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior or PrincipalPlannerto join our Planning Department. If youre passionate about community development and have a knack for managing processes we want to hear from you!
What You Will Do
- Provides day-to-day project leadership
- Ensures timely processing and completion of development review applications
- Demonstrates continuous and measurable efforts to improve operations and procedures
- Interprets and administers provisions of Towns Land Management Ordinance development-type applications
- Leads interdisciplinary project teams on complex planning initiatives
- Makes decisions clarifies issues according to the LMO and Comprehensive Plan and answers inquiries;
- Establish on-going relationships with Town staff the news media the general public and community state and national organizations
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Drivers license
- AICP certified preferred
