Senior Network Engineer, VoIP

Position Summary

The ideal candidate willpossessextensive experience in Cisco Collaboration and Unifiedtechnologies and serve as a senior technical leader within the Connectivity organization. This individual will be responsible for the design implementation optimization support and strategic evolution of the enterprise voice and collaboration environment including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) Cisco Unity Connection SIP-based communications platforms and related third-party technologies.

This position requires a highly collaborative professional who can effectively partner with Network Engineering Cybersecurity Infrastructure Cloud Application Development Operations Technology (OT) and business stakeholders to deliver reliable scalable and secure communication services across the enterprise. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisorprovidingtechnical leadership architectural guidance and strategic recommendations that align communication platforms with businessobjectivesand enterprise standards.

As a senior member of the engineering team this individual willparticipatein architectural reviews technology evaluations modernization initiatives and long-term roadmap planning. Responsibilities include developing technical designs performing assessments driving remediation and standardization effortscreatingandmaintainingtechnical documentation and leading cross-functional discussions to visualize and communicate complex concepts. The candidate must be capable of making sound technical decisions influencing outcomes across multiple teams and mentoring engineers through knowledge sharing and leadership.

KeyResponsibilities

• Deploy complex(VoIP)network configurations foron-premiseor cloud-based networks andassistsin the development of playbooks for network systems(Cloud Computing).

• Assistsin the integration of new systems and tools. Develops andmaintainsscripts tofacilitatenetwork administrative tasks and automate repetitive processes.

• Architect and engineer enterprise VoIP and Unified Communicationsolutions(e.g.Cisco Unified Communication Manager Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) Voice Gateway. Designcomplexdial plans partitions Calling Search Spaces (CSS) translationpatternsand route patterns.

• Serve as a primary escalation point for complex voice network issues. Analyze packet captures and SIP signaling to resolve jitter latency and call routing failures. Analyze performance on the network for non-VoIP related traffic as.(Troubleshooting Results DrivenNetwork Management System)

• Monitors performanceidentifiesareas for improvement for the(VoIP)network and implements performance tuning.

• Identifiestrends in issues anddeterminesthe root cause to reduce future issues.

• Adheres to network policies standards and standard operating procedures for how-to documents.

• Undertakes the regular analysis and interpretation of traffic andutilizationof services on(VoIP)network connections.

• Engage in discussions andparticipatein development of Private SaaSEdgeComputingand other advanced cloudcapabilities (Cloud ComputingNetwork Installation and Configuration Network Transformation).

• Adheres to network policies standards and standard operating procedures for how-to documents.

• Analyzes alternative hardwareplatformsand technologies for the network infrastructure(Network Transformation Network Testing Network Traffic Analysis).

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Information Technologypreferred related field or equivalent experience.

• Five (5)or moreyears of relevant experience.

• Cisco CertifiedVoiceProfessional (CCVP)or equivalentcertificationspreferred.

• Experience inleadingsite surveys capacity planning end user requirement analysis and the physical/logical deployment of VoIP hardware and software preferred.

• Experience in migrating legacy TDM/PBX systems to modern VoIP architecture preferred.

• Experiencewithplanningand execution ofmajor system upgrades patches firmware updates and database replication health checks across the publisher and subscriber nodes preferred.

• Experience with enterprisescale data centers network topologiesand architecturespreferred.

• Experience withRTP and Media ConceptsSDPand Codecs(G.711 G.729 Opus DTMF) Secure Signaling (TLS/mTLS SRTP) preferred.

• Deep understanding of Routing Concepts Switching Concepts Quality of Service Traffic Engineering Filtering and Tuning (Network Traffic Analysis Network Testing Network Protocols)is highly preferred.

• Exposureto automation tools (e.g.Ansible Python Scripting)preferred.

• Experience with packet capture tools (Wireshark) and call analysis platforms preferred.
