Senior ML Engineer, Robotics Special Projects

As a member of the team youll have the opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled engineers and scientists to bring new experiences to Apple products. This position requires a self-motivated ML engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:

Designing and implementing AI/ML robotic systems to solve real-world problemsnEvaluating and debugging complex AI systemsnIntegrating intricate AI systems into a larger software stack

MS/PhD in Computer Science Math Machine Learning Robotics or related fields.n3 years of relevant industry experience nStrong software engineering backgroundnAbility to break down large features and implement practical solutionsnExperience in building complete prototypes that continuously improving the system performancenFamiliarity with the full robotics stack (controls perception planning navigation etc.)nFamiliarity with modern ML approaches (VLMs LLMs Diffusions RL etc.) nProficiency using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.

Familiarity with Swift and Apple developer toolsnExperience in training/fine tuning multimodal foundational modelsnExperience in building RL models for robotics in multi-view geometry camera calibration and 3D reconstruction optimizing ML models or mathematical algorithms for mobile deployment and resource-constrained environments.
