As a Mechanical System Engineer youll embark on a dynamic journey working with business development and program management teams to shape multiple satellite missions simultaneously each boasting a unique multi-payload configuration. Your role will transcend boundaries as you collaborate seamlessly across various teams including program management systems engineering discipline engineering and AI&T.

In this roleyoullnot only contribute to the success of our satellite missions but alsohave the opportunity tocollaborate with a diverse and dynamic team fostering innovation and driving impactful solutions in the ever-evolving space industry.

Mission Objectives

  • Technical lead for mechanical system design andsubsystemprocurements
  • Create andmaintainCAD models collaboratingwithinternalteams and our customers toconductmechanicallayout
  • Performsystem optimizationtradesanalyzingsystem performanceandmaintainingtechnical budgets
  • Oversee spacecraft level structural and thermal analysis
  • Engage closely with internal teams and customers to craft and manage systemspecificationsand verification techniques ensuring alignmentwith ambiguous customer requirements.
  • Provide supporttoprogram management and product management serving as a liaison with customers ensuring smooth programexecution.
  • Conduct inspections and reviews of engineering documents and hardware.
  • Extendyourexpertiseto support test planningand activelyparticipatein the integration and test campaigns at our spacecraft manufacturers site ensuring adherence to rigorous quality standards.

Mission Mandates

  • ActiveTopSecret clearance isrequiredwith theability to obtainSensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance isrequired.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a DoD or Intelligence Community Top Secret background investigation with at least 3 years of eligibilityremainingor CE status; and SCI eligibility with current experience in SCI programs and/or Special Access Programs
  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Prior experience delivering a spacecraft to orbit and/or space-qualified hardware to a customer.
  • You have5 years of experience asaMechanicalEngineerwith detailedknowledgeof spacecraft structures
  • Detailed understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
  • ProficiencywithSolidworksor similar CAD software
  • Pragmatic vibration testing experience (pre-test inputs test oversight data reduction report generation).
Per Colorado law we are required to disclose the base compensation range for this role. This range is intentionally wide as we assess individuals based on their unique abilities and experience to find the best fit for our needs. Ultimately your compensation will be determined by your education experience knowledge skills and abilities.

Salary Range

$131750 - $178250 USD
