The Senior Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale mechanical and plumbing construction projects. This position supports Design-Build Design-Assist and Hard Bid opportunities and works closely with project teams subcontractors and suppliers throughout the estimating process.
Prepare complete Mechanical and Plumbing estimates for projects exceeding$10 million.
Develop estimates for Design-Build Design-Assist and Hard Bid projects.
Produce accurate estimates from schematic design documents.
Prepare comparative estimates based on multiple design alternatives.
Develop subcontractor scopes negotiate pricing and issue subcontracts.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing while negotiating buyout costs.
Review project specifications drawings and contract documents.
Perform material takeoffs prepare purchase orders and support project controls.
Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders throughout the estimating process.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior estimators.
Extensive experience estimating Mechanical Piping Plumbing and Heavy Construction projects.
Proven success in a Hard Bid estimating environment.
Experience preparing complete Mechanical and Plumbing estimates for projects valued at$10 million or more.
Strong understanding of construction contracts front-end specifications and project documentation.
Experience negotiating with subcontractors vendors and suppliers.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
HVAC ductwork estimating experience is preferred but not required.
Willingness to relocate for project assignments if necessary.
Competitive salary:$80000 $120000 per year
