Senior Mechanical Engineer

SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in centrifugal compressor design repair and analysis. You will lead the analysis and recommend repairs for various manufacturers multi-stage centrifugal air compressors based on field data and disassembled components in the shop. This role spans the entire product lifecycle from the aerodynamic rotating assembly and structural components to testing and manufacturing ResponsibilitiesLead Design: Own the mechanical design of centrifugal compressors impellers casings and rotor dynamics Analysis: Coordinate acquisition and analysis of spectral vibration data acquired from machinery at customer job Selection: Specify bearings seals couplings and compressor skid materials suitable for high-speed rotating -Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with manufacturing teams (internal and 3rd-party) to optimize designs for production and & Validation: Define test plans oversee prototype testing and analyze experimental data to refine : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering QualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace : Minimum of 710 years of experience in mechanical design with a strong focus on high-speed rotating equipment or : Proven expertise in centrifugal compressor design aerodynamic interfaces and rotor Skills: Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) Geomagic DesignX modeling software and Prophet21 business system &T Expertise: Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME QualificationsMasters degree with a turbomachinery or ASNT vibration analysis certification CAT II or IIIExperience in a small-scale manufacturing or job-shop of API standards (e.g. API 617) for centrifugal and use of coordinate measuring machines for component dimensional checks.
