The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and development of mechanical systems for gas turbine power generation and industrial process equipment. This role is responsible for product design engineering analysis cross-functional collaboration and ensuring designs are manufacturable reliable and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for power generation equipment.
Create 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
Perform engineering analysis including thermal structural fluid flow acoustic and vibration analysis.
Review manufacturing drawings BOMs and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with GD&T material selection manufacturability and industry standards.
Collaborate with engineering production project management suppliers and customers.
Support fabrication installation testing and project execution.
Drive continuous improvement in design processes and mentor engineering teams.
Travel up to 30% to customer and supplier sites.
Required Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Electrical Process or Industrial Engineering (Masters preferred).
6 10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks AutoCAD and SolidWorks PDM.
Experience with sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing.
Expertise in thermal structural acoustical and power generation systems.
Strong understanding of GD&T manufacturing processes and BOM creation.
Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
EIT/PE certification is preferred.
