How youll make an impact
  • Design and develop mechanical components for power and distribution transformers
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models aligned with specifications
  • Perform calculations for strength vibration thermal expansion and structural integrity
  • Partner with electrical engineers to deliver optimized integrated designs
  • Support manufacturing teams with technical guidance and design improvements
  • Participate in design reviews risk assessments and FMEA activities
  • Collaborate with suppliers on material selection and component validation
  • Contribute to testing troubleshooting and continuous product improvement
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.
Your background
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical design ideally in transformers or heavy equipment
  • Strong knowledge of materials fabrication methods and mechanical design principles
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD Creo or Inventor
  • Familiarity with industry standards (IEEE ANSI CSA)
  • Analytical mindset with strong problemsolving and attention to detail
