Job Description Summary
As Senior Manufacturing Manager Assembly and Test Operation Management you will provide strategic oversight for a high-priority engine program focused on improving execution operational efficiency material flow and cross-functional alignment. The position partners with business engineering quality manufacturing and logistics teams to close gaps between product line expectations and operational response establish standard work improve cycle time and throughput and build a more scalable model for long-term growth. Based in Lynn MA the role includes regular travel to support program alignment across operations and logistics.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage an operation business unit or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality cost delivery and safety. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational product management manufacturing technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements risk and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of assembly and test operations including production planning scheduling and execution.
  • Lead and influence an indirect team of manufacturing professionals fostering a culture of continuous improvement accountability and safety.
  • Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Manage operational budgets identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering supply chain quality and sales to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for capacity planning process improvement and new product introductions.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies procedures and relevant industry regulations (e.g. EHS quality standards).
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to address deviations and drive performance.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and automation solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives and root cause analysis for manufacturing issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial Electrical) Manufacturing Operations Management or a related technical field OR a High School Diploma with 4 years progressive experience in assembly test and manufacturing operations
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in assembly test manufacturing operations
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in engine assembly and test with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence implementing lean manufacturing and achieving significant improvements in safety quality delivery and cost.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience in managing and developing relationships with external vendors.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001).
  • Exceptional communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly desirable.

The base pay range for this position is 156400.00 - 208150.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 22 2026.
