Position Summary

The Senior Manager Strategy Planning & Governance is responsible for leading strategic planning governance and portfolio oversight activities that support the long-term success of the Payer Relations organization. This role drives alignment on business priorities decision-making processes and risk management practices while providing strategic insights to senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical leader with experience in business planning governance executive communications and cross-functional collaboration who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the development execution and ongoing maintenance of multi-year and annual payer strategy plans.
• Manage governance processes decision-making frameworks and executive review forums to support effective business operations.
• Monitor portfolio performance strategic initiatives and business risks providing recommendations and insights to leadership.
• Develop executive presentations strategic communications and planning materials that support key business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Legal and Compliance to ensure governance standards and strategic commitments are effectively managed.

Travel: Up to 10% travel required

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in strategy corporate planning governance business operations program management or a related field.
• Experience within healthcare managed care pharmacy benefit management (PBM) retail pharmacy or a related industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading business planning processes governance programs or executive review cycles.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level presentations strategic recommendations and business communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in management consulting corporate strategy or enterprise planning.
• Experience designing or implementing governance frameworks decision-rights models or operating structures.
• Knowledge of payer strategy pharmacy reimbursement healthcare economics or pharmacy network management.
• Masters degree (MBA MPH or similar advanced degree).
• Interest in advancing into broader commercial operational or strategic leadership roles.

Education

• Bachelors degree required or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Masters degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the companys equity award program.
