Transaction Processing Senior Manager


The Expertise Were Looking For

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 5 years experience in an 401k Operations environment or equivalent financial services industry
  • Proven Leadership Skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Prior people management experience preferred
  • Prior experience of driving process automation and innovation
  • Basic understanding of DC plan administration
  • Working knowledge of Fidelity applications (FPRS Xtrac BWS PSW)

The Purpose of Your Role

The Senior Manager oversees a staff of associates updating transactions into the recordkeeping system in support of DC (Defined Contribution) processing. This role is also responsible for the performance directing and coordinating staff globally that might not be a direct report. Transactions involve but are not limited to Contributions Withdrawals Loans IDW and miscellaneous. This role prioritizes daily responsibilities and is accountable for obtaining key control goals such as Quality Control Accuracy SLAs etc. The Senior Manager serves as a primary resource for day to day questions and inquiries from internal business partners and may at times involve external clients and participants.

  • Accountable for key talent management including hiring goal setting performance reviews and other career development activities for the team.
  • Evaluates team effectiveness and proposes appropriately aggressive yet realistic strategies for improvement initiative and achievement of results.

  • Signs off on high risk transactions including As Of Processing Incident Reports and Error Correction filings.

Organizations include Clients Participants Relationship Management Client and Participant Services (WPS CAR CSM CSA FinOps Case Management Implementations SIG Conversion Services etc.) Risk and Compliance WI Systems.
  • Implements initiatives such as: Implementation of new technology solutions order to meet SLAs and improve the customer experience; lead initiatives to resolve gaps and optimize the customer experience; Onboarding of new WI clients.
  • Routinely leads the resolution of major organizational issues that span multiple departments throughout Fidelity as well as impacting clients. Clearly weigh costs and benefits to make appropriate tradeoffs when making decisions.
  • Participates on calls with the client to act as backup for the client facing teams based on issues at hand consults on correction methodologies as well as expected timelines.

Accurate and timely processing of corrective transactions reduces financial risk to the firm and ensures a seamless participant transaction experience. Subject matter expertise on processes performed assists with client implementations and bids to ensure the best possible solutions are offered to our clients.
