Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager Global Revenue Accounting to lead our global revenue accounting function. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP partnering cross-functionally with FP&A Sales Operations and Billing and driving operational excellence across the revenue cycle.

This position will lead a team of five high performing individuals and report into the Global Controller organization. You will play a key leadership role in supporting financial reporting audits and process transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Accounting & Close

• Lead the global revenue accounting function ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
• Manage the month-end close process for revenue including review of journal entries reconciliations and reporting packages
• Ensure timely and high-quality balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses

Technical Accounting & Compliance

• Interpret and apply U.S. GAAP revenue accounting guidance to complex SaaS and multi-element arrangements
• Maintain and document revenue accounting policies and procedures
• Support internal and external audit requests ensuring timely and accurate responses

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner closely with FP&A Sales Ops and Billing teams to ensure accurate contract interpretation and revenue treatment

Process Improvement & Systems

• Drive automation and process improvements across the revenue cycle to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Support system enhancements and implementations (e.g. billing revenue recognition tools)

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead mentor and develop a team of revenue accountants
• Foster a high-performance collaborative and control-focused team environment

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 812 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on revenue accounting
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 / SaaS/ License/ Professional Service revenue recognition
• Experience managing global or multi-entity revenue processes
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and SalesForce/Certinia a plus
• Strong analytical communication and leadership skills
