Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Low-Voltage / Technology Integration Technician to lead field installation
configuration troubleshooting and service for commercial and residential technology projects. This is a hands-on role for a
technician who can work independently solve problems in the field communicate professionally with customers and contractors
and take pride in high-quality workmanship.
What Youll Work With
Networking & WiFi: enterprise and residential networks wireless access points switches routers and structured cabling.
Security: IP surveillance cameras NVRs access control alarm systems and related low-voltage systems.
Automation & Control: Control4 Savant Crestron lighting control motorized shading and smart-home systems.
Audio/Video: distributed audio home theater displays commercial AV and system integration.
Infrastructure: structured wiring equipment racks labeling testing documentation and system commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead installations and commissioning on commercial and residential projects.
Read plans wiring diagrams scopes of work and project specifications.
Configure test troubleshoot and document complete systems.
Diagnose networking WiFi security AV automation and low-voltage issues.
Interact professionally with homeowners business customers general contractors electricians and project managers.
Maintain organized clean and safe job sites.
Mentor junior technicians and provide technical leadership in the field.
Complete labeling testing photographs documentation and project closeout requirements.
Qualifications
5 years of relevant experience in low-voltage AV networking security automation structured cabling or technology
integration.
Strong understanding of IP networking WiFi Ethernet PoE and low-voltage installation practices.
Ability to independently troubleshoot systems and develop practical field solutions.
Customer-facing professionalism and strong communication skills.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel throughout Southeast Michigan.
Manufacturer certifications or training in Control4 Savant Crestron UniFi Lutron security AV or related technologies
preferred.
CEDIA AVIXA BICSI CompTIA or similar industry credentials are a plus.
Employment & Compensation
W-2 employee or Independent Contractor opportunities available.
Southeast Michigan travel required; projects may include commercial and residential sites.
Company truck and tools available or qualified technicians may provide their own truck and professional tools.
Compensation based on experience technical skills certifications and qualifications.
