Senior Litigation Attorney
Job Summary
This is a senior-level civil litigation position at a founder-led boutique law firm that is actively scaling its attorney headcount. You will independently own a full litigation docket across commercial real estate and construction matters working closely with firm leadership on case strategy and client service. The firm is investing heavily in growth and prioritizes a differentiated high-touch client experience.
- Own and independently manage a full civil litigation docket spanning real estate construction commercial business business torts and general civil matters.
- Handle all phases of litigation including trial preparation motion practice discovery and depositions.
- Collaborate directly with firm leadership on case strategy and complex client matters.
- Maintain substantive frequent client communication in line with the firms high-touch service model.
- Contribute to firm growth by potentially developing new practice areas aligned with your expertise and interests.
- Meet a minimum billable threshold of 120 hours per month with uncapped quarterly bonus opportunity for hours and revenue above that threshold.
- 12 or more years of civil litigation practice experience with a proven track record of independently carrying a full docket.
- Strong courtroom presence with demonstrated trial experience across multiple civil cases.
- Solid motion practice discovery and deposition experience along with excellent legal writing skills in briefs and motions.
- JD from an accredited law school and eligibility for the Idaho State Bar (active membership or waive-in ready).
- Experience in real estate construction or commercial litigation is a strong plus.
- Background in business torts business dissolution litigation or appellate work is a bonus.
- Prior experience at a boutique mid-size or in-house legal setting is valued; an established book of business is welcome but not required.
- Proficiency with legal research tools including Westlaw and Westlaw AI.
- Base salary: $130000 to $150000 annually.
- Bonus: Uncapped quarterly bonus based on a formulaic structure tied to billable hours and revenue above the monthly minimum with strong performers historically earning $25000 to $50000 or more annually in bonus compensation.
- Non-equity partnership track available after 1 to 2 years of commitment.
- Work-life balance: Attorneys typically finish by 5pm with no weekend work expected outside of occasional trial prep.
