Compensation

At S&C we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $87758 - $116285.18. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors including performance knowledge job-related skills and experience and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&Cs annual incentive plan (AIP) subject to eligibility criteria.

The Talent Enablement department is responsible for developing implementing and sustaining S&Cs global talent management ecosystem designed to facilitate organizational professionaland career development in support of S&Cs strategic objectives and competitive advantage in the market.

The Senior Learning Specialistisresponsible fordevelopingand implementinginnovative learning solutions. The Senior Learning Specialistleadsthe assessment oftraining needsdesignsanddevelopstrainingcontent andprogramsandevaluatestraining effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Design:Leadand/or collaborate onend-to-end trainingprojectswith specific activitiesincluding project management needs analysis anddeterminingthe best course design approach usingfull-cycleADDIE and SAM models. This role will primarily focus on eLearning design with responsibility for creating engaging interactive and effective digital learning experiences that support employee development and business objectives.

  • AssessLearning andTrainingNeeds:Partnerwith the business tolead the analysis oftrainingneeds anddetermine assessment and success andfacilitatesurveys assessments and focus groupsto gatherinformation. Use data insights toidentifyneeds and drive learning solutionsfocusedon filling gaps and training needsthinking outside of the box with continuous evaluation and innovativemethodologies.
  • IdentifyLearningSolutions:Develop creative and engaging learning content curriculums and learning paths in a variety of media throughthedesign creation construction and purchase of learning outside vendors agenciesand educational institutions as needed. Provideguidance and strategiestoevaluate andenhance current programs andbuildnew learning programs.
  • Delivery ofLearning:Facilitatea variety of learning and skill-building sessionsin personand withSMEsonthetrain-the-trainer process and training sustainment and maintenance training and fulfill administrative tasks as needed.
  • Communication & Promotion:Supportthe Manager - Learning & Developmentincreatingmarketing and communicationsplansfor Internal Communications on creative service designcommunication planningbuildand deployment.
  • Maintenance of LearningSystems&Resources:Maintainupdated training curriculum learning pathsand resources along with training records as an administrator in the learning management implementation and management of learning platforms and learning metrics andreport and recommend learning operationalandgovernance processes and practices.
  • Team MemberDevelopment:Stay current with L&D Industry trends and best practices to elevate the learning tools metrics measurementand &D team members as needed.
  • Program & Vendor Management:Source assess and partner with external vendors consultants and providers to design and deploy learning programs and systems. Proactively manage external vendors and providers and monitor service to maintain successful partnerships and standards of services offered.

What youll need to succeed:

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Education Instructional Design Human Resourcesarelatedfield or equivalent experience.

  • 5-7years ofdemonstratedexperience with end-to-end learning development and evaluation including experience as a corporate trainer.
  • Ability todesign create anddeliver effective training sessionsfor a variety of learningsvirtually andon-siteat the S&C Chicago campus includingteam members working onthe shop floor in manufacturing and assembly areas.
  • Demonstrated experience using e-learning platforms and tools including leading virtual classroomsutilizingmultimedia tools.
  • Greatpresentation skills with the abilitytoeffectively communicate concepts to a wide variety of audiences from production workers to leaders.
  • Abilityto engage learners and create an interactive learning experiencethatsimpactful and enhances communication skills (written verbal and listening). Able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels from executives to support staff and present compellingly to achieve buy-in from managers and team members.
  • Ability to analyze stakeholder performance indicators anddetermineif training intervention is needed.
  • Soundcustomer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent scriptwriting andgreatlanguage organizational and project management skills with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability toproduce highly targeted learning-related deliverables.
  • The ability tolead mentor and provide guidancewhile collaborating with the L&Dteam.
  • Familiarity with DEI principles and experiencecontributingto initiatives that promote diversity equity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Articulate 360 CamtasiaSynthesiaLMS video design storyboard creation recording video editing sound editing and other software/tools relevant to the Learning & Development space.

  • Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD).
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD).
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
  • Knowledge or experienceapplyingexperiential learningtheory.
  • Knowledge of changemanagementprincipals.
  • Native or bilingual fluency in Spanish (writtenandverbal)
