Senior LeadPrincipal Full Stack Engineer

Location: WHIPPANY NEW JERSEY (Local candidates only; EST)

Please focus on senior Java engineers with 10 years of experience who have strong Spring Boot Spring Cloud and microservices backgrounds. Candidates should also have significant AWS experience and hands-on experience with React or Angular. Financial services or banking experience is highly preferred. This is a hybrid role in Whippany NJ so candidates must be local and able to work onsite 3 days per week.

Work Setup: Strict hybrid schedule requiring 3 fixed days in office per week in Whippany NJ. Local candidates only.
Business Driver: System scale-up and modern engineering delivery for a major US Bank client. High likelihood of extension beyond the initial 45-week period.
Deliverables: High-scale full-stack architecture blueprints production-ready microservices automated CI/CD pipelines and mentorship indicators.

TOP HARD SKILLS
Java/Spring Boot/Spring Cloud/Microservices: 10 years of expert development experience.
React or Angular Frontend UI: 5 years of production experience.
AWS Cloud native ecosystem: Expert proficiency (EC2 Lambda API Gateway EKS).

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Architect full-stack solutions using a Java/Spring backend React/Angular frontend and AWS cloud services.
• Lead design sessions technical planning and backlog refinement for engineering tasks.
• Define coding standards secure coding practices and performance guidelines for the engineering team.
• Drive CI/CD maturity observability and DevOps best practices across the development lifecycle.
• Guide the definition of cloud-native patterns including serverless microservices and containerization.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Product Owners and Solution Architects on roadmap and technical strategy.

The ideal candidate is an expert-level hands-on technical leader with a robust background in the US Financial Services or banking domain. They hold a degree in Computer Engineering or a Masters degree possess active AWS certifications and bring an authoritative blend of full-stack development and distributed systems architecture experience.
