Senior ITS Engineer III

We are seeking a Senior ITS Engineer III to join our Orlando FL team leading ITS and Traffic Engineering projects in Florida and nationally.

This position delivers technical leadership across ITS traffic signal lighting and transportation systems projects from preliminary design through construction. Youll drive project delivery support staff development and serve as a key technical resource for clients and project teams.

• Lead ITS traffic signal and lighting projects through all design and construction phases.
• Manage project scope schedule budget and quality including preparation of design documents and study reports.
• Design deploy test and support ITS systems including DMS CCTV traffic detectors and communications infrastructure (fiber and wireless).
• Contribute to signal design intersection improvements lighting design and systems integration.
• Develop technical solutions aligned with client needs project requirements and applicable standards.
• Support testing verification and acceptance activities for ITS system implementations.
• Mentor junior staff and support their technical growth.
• Serve in project management or deputy PM roles on major transportation projects as applicable.

• BS and/or MS in Civil/Electrical Engineering.
• Florida PE License or ability to obtain in 6 months.
• 13-20 years of engineering experience.
• ITS Traffic Signal and Lighting experience.
• Excellent technical writing and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project financial management and team management skills.

Expected compensation range is between $155000 - $165000 annually depending on skills experience and geographical location.
