Overview

We are seeking a Senior ITS Analyst to join our team in Tallahassee FL to lead and work on various projects.

Your role

  • Assignments require leading the investigation of a large number of variables and the development of novel solutions to ITS projects. Duties usually include the following:

  • Develops guidelines for the application of state-of-art ITS technologies to programs and projects.

  • Develops ITS design concepts and solutions to ITS problems including plans and criteria for new projects.

  • Oversees changes or improvements to plans and programs.

  • Manages the evaluation of alternative approaches technology capabilities previous experience with ITS deployments cost benefits and client/regulatory agency specifications and recommends cost-effective solutions.

  • Develops and agrees on outline deliverables. Delivers presentations communicates concepts and deliverables to clients and conducts quality control checks.

  • Manages ITS efforts in one or various concurrent projects.

  • Supervises ITS team members.

  • Responsible for project budget management and expected to perform with a high level of fiscal responsibility and understanding of implications to the project program division and company.

  • May perform other such duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

About you

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or an ITS-related subject such as Computer Science Electrical Engineering Transportation Planning Economics Business Law or Information Technology. ITS-related Masters degree can substitute for one year of experience. This level may be achieved by candidates with fifteen (15) years experience since Bachelors or fourteen (14) years since Masters degree. Relevant work experience would include information and communication technologies and/or ITS such as fiber-optic communication design video systems engineering traveler information electronic payment computer hardware and software or traffic control systems.

  • Must have the ability to manage and operate independently with high degree of understanding of priorities and fiscal responsibility.

  • Detailed understanding of the practical design and deployment of a wide range of information and communication technologies including fiber-optic communication design video systems engineering traveler information electronic payment transit or traffic control systems.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word PowerPoint Excel and Access is required. Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Outlook or equivalent e-mail program is desired. Strong technical writing analytical and communication skills essential including ability to present concepts verbally and negotiate with clients.

  • Proven ability to lead analyst teams successfully. Completion of the ITS Training and Project Management Programs within the first 24 months of employment is highly desirable.

  • Professional engineering license is desired. Professional Traffic Operations Engineer and Project Management Professional certifications desired.

Expected compensation range is between $162000-$192000 depending on skills experience and geographical location.
