As a member of the team youʼll have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to expand thenfunctionality of the Health app and HealthKit framework. We collaborate across Apple featurenteams hardware teams domain experts like doctors and fitness experts and our third partyndeveloper ecosystem. Our primary responsibilities are delivering new health and fitnessnfeatures designing solutions for distributed health data storage performance OS integrationnand API design and delivery.

Developing innovative solutions for efficiently syncing health data across multiple Apple and tuning features for use by millions of users on power and performance constrained and delivering comprehensive test suites in collaboration with our quality assurance and engineering logical scalable forward-thinking APIs that serve our developersʼ in peer review of architecture API and individual software with and advising other teams across Apple including Design Privacy and Security as well as domain experts in health and fitness.

BS Computer Science or equivalent experiencenStrong foundation in Computer Science fundamentalsn8 years of experience working in Objective-C Swift C or similar high level programming languagesnStrong understanding of algorithms and data structuresnSolid background in object-oriented architecture and designnDeep understanding of systems-level concepts like multi-threading and interprocess communicationnExpertise with debugging tools and performance tuningnKnowledge of iOS programming and Apple technologies such as Grand Central Dispatch CloudKit or XPC Activity/ServicesnStrong communication skills including ability to collaborate in a diversity of backgrounds and experiencesnWillingness to learn and improve and also mentor and support other team membersnHighly organized maintaining patience and composure to effectively operate within ambiguitynExperience delivering libraries frameworks or APIsnExperience with distributed systems design development and supportn
