Senior Interior DesignerArchitect

DBIs long-time client in San Francisco is seeking a Senior interior designer with extensive experience. Focused on commercial interiors you will work across clients of all types and scales in a growing and entrepreneurial studio.

Responsibilities:

• Generate program documents through client-facing meetings.
• Create space plans
• Develop and execute contextual design stories and concepts.
• Collaborate with team members on furniture and finish selection and construction document production.
• Coordinate consultant and vendor drawings.
• Lead/coordinate construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples.
• Manage client expectations and coordinate team and consultant communications.
• Generate business opportunity leads for the company.
• Manage various-sized teams.
• Knowledge of budget and schedule drivers both internally and externally
• Participate in multiple project teams simultaneously

Requirements:

• 10 years of related experience as an interior designer with a focus on commercial interiors
• Must be proficient in Revit and InDesign
• Strong knowledge of the design and documentation process including FF&E furniture systems and specifications color and materials
• Outstanding graphic presentation skills
• Willingness to focus on multiple projects in various stages
• Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
• Strong leadership organizational communication and relationship management skills
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD SketchUp and Photoshop
• Bachelors degree in Interior Design Architecture or related field
• Knowledge of local code and permitting requirements
