Location: This is an onsite position at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital 600 Gresham Drive Norfolk VA 23507.
Job Profile Summary
The Senior Inpatient Case Manager RN assumes responsibility accountability and leadership for the daily operations including coordination of work quality and service for inpatient case management.
Assist supervisor for assigned site/function.
Participates in the work activities of assigned teams and provides case management services as needed.
Maintains fiscal accountability for departmental activities.
Provides feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel.
Functions in one of the following practice settings: Hospitals only
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) REQUIRED
Certification/Licensure
Registered Nurse (RN) in VA or NC or Compact/Multi-state REQUIRED
BLS within 90 days of hire.
Case Management (ACM CCM CCCTM CMAC or CMGT-BC) certification is required within one year of eligibility.
Experience:
3 years nursing experience REQUIRED preferred in Acute Care setting
3 years Case Management experience preferred
