Senior IFS Cloud Developer

Role Summary

The Senior Developer IFS Cloud will be responsible for designing developing and supporting extensions integrations and configurations within the IFS Cloud platform. This role provides technical leadership across IFS modules ensures solution quality and partners closely with functional business and integration teams to deliver scalable and supportable solutions aligned with IFS best practices.

Key Responsibilities

IFS Cloud Development & Customization

• Design and develop custom extensions using IFS Cloud extension frameworks (projection extensions custom fields events Aurena configurations)
• Build and maintain PL/SQL IFS packages and custom logic in accordance with cloud safe development standards
• Develop custom screens reports and user experience enhancements within Aurena
• Optimize existing customizations to ensure performance and compatibility with IFS Cloud updates
• Create and maintain technical design documents configuration design notes deployment instructions and support handover documentation.
• Assess standard IFS functionality and configuration options before approving or recommending custom development.

Integrations & APIs

• Design and implement integrations using IFS REST/OData APIs events and messaging frameworks
• Support real time and batch integrations with upstream/downstream systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across environments (DEV / TEST / PROD)
• Ensure integrations follow security error handling and monitoring standards

Technical Leadership & Governance

• Act as a technical authority for IFS Cloud development standards and best practices
• Review code and solution designs to ensure quality maintainability and cloud compliance
• Partner with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical designs
• Contribute to architectural decisions and platform roadmap planning

Testing Deployments & Support

• Support unit testing system testing and UAT
• Manage deployments and configuration promotion across environments
• Participate in production support incident resolution and root cause analysis
• Support IFS Cloud upgrades patches and regression testing

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 5 years of experience developing on IFS Applications / IFS Cloud
• Experience leading technical workstreams in at least one full-cycle IFS implementation upgrade or major enhancement program
• Strong expertise in:
  • PL/SQL
  • IFS Business Logic Events Framework and Custom Objects
  • IFS Aurena UI configuration
  • IFS APIs and integrations
• Experience working in cloud/SaaS ERP environments
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills
• Ability to diagnose complex application database integration security and environment issues across the IFS landscape.

Platform & Tools

• Experience with IFS Cloud functional modules such as:
  • Finance
  • Field Service
  • Rental
  • Projects
  • Asset Management / EAM
• Familiarity with integration tools middleware or iPaaS platforms
• Understanding of DevOps version control and CI/CD concepts in ERP landscapes

Soft Skills

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in Agile
• Ability to mentor junior developers and review their work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IFS Cloud multi tenant SaaS deployments
• Prior involvement in IFS Cloud implementations or upgrades
• Exposure to data migration reporting or analytics within IFS
• Experience in asset intensive industries
