Senior Founding Engineer, Core Platform

Join the core platform team at an AI company building agent-powered tools for chip verification. You will be a hands-on technical leader shaping the agent runtime and platform working closely with the CTO and helping turn customer needs into reliable production software.

• Build and improve the agent runtime AI-native electronic design automation tools and core Python platform.
• Turn ambiguous problems into working AI systems then improve them with traces evaluations telemetry and product changes.
• Package and deploy the product in containers for on-premises and air-gapped customer environments.
• Help set technical direction make architecture decisions identify bottlenecks and guide a fast-moving engineering team.
• Partner with customer-facing engineers to translate field learnings into product improvements.

• Typically 5 or more years of backend or infrastructure software engineering experience with a record of owning major systems or engineering projects.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping an AI agent or LLM-based application to production including ML-related software beyond research or model training.
• Strong Python skills and practical experience with Linux or Unix containers networking and storage.
• Experience with distributed systems performance engineering and large-scale data handling.
• Engineering leadership experience such as leading a major project or guiding a team while remaining actively involved in implementation.
• A bachelors degree in computer science electrical engineering or mechanical engineering from a highly regarded university.
• Experience with post-training approaches such as RLHF DPO or reinforcement learning for agents is useful. Familiarity with TypeScript Rust C Go or electronic design automation tools is also valued.

Base salary: $200000 to $300000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
