Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is looking for an Senior Flight Operations Support Specialist to join our team in Patuxent River MD.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs activities to ensure aircraft availability through application of maintenance procedures practices and data

  • Performs analyses and applies aircraft and regulatory knowledge to support the determination of requirements for maintenance inspection repair and modification of aircraft

  • Oversees the verification of modification repair and flight release; reviews aircraft airworthiness and audits contractors regulatory certification

  • Schedules maintenance and test activities and assures aircraft configuration

  • Prepares maintains and coordinates approval of aircraft maintenance inspection plans and airworthiness certification for operational aircraft

  • Reviews aircraft return to service documents and documents maintenance and support concepts

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

  • 5 years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment supporting configuration management and release for flight

  • 5 years of experience in production maintenance planning and/or testing of commercial or military aircraft sub-systems and components including flight controls landing gear fuels fire detection propulsion (engine and APU) environmental controls and avionics

  • 5 years of experience as a maintenance planner and/or scheduler

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with military aircraft systems and operations

  • Experience interfacing with senior level military customers

  • Knowledge of the OPNAV 4790.2 (Series)

  • Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management course (D or E)
