Job Summary
Summary:The Senior Financial Analyst will be heavily involved in the Companys financial forecast annual budgeting process operating plan variance analysis and special projects. They will provide strategic support to senior management including helping with board presentations industry/peer group comparisons new business opportunities and other projects as requested by senior and Responsibilities: Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators Monitor performance indicators highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances Develop and maintain budgeting financial forecasting operating plan and modeling tools Quarterly and monthly financial reports Ad-hoc reporting and analysis Work with a business intelligence tool to create dashboard reports Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial information to management for decision making purposesSupporting senior management team with in-depth analysisAssist in the preparation of presentations to Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team. Perform other duties as and Work Experience:Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or similar field. Three or more years of FP&A based accounting and manufacturing accounting experience required Certified Public Accountant or MBA preferredWork Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:Government clearance required or have the ability to obtain one. Knowledge Skills and Abilities:List of needed knowledge skills and abilities to successfully accomplish the duties and responsibilities of the job3Strong understanding of financial statements and financial statement analysis Can interpret financial data contained in reports and ledgers. Performs day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Work in a high energy high volume rapidly changing environment. Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results. Able to tackle complicated issues by evaluating information gathered and organized to arrive at an outcome. Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms. Understands how to use the computers including such tasks as turning the computer on and off locating and opening files navigate to websites perform searches and download files. Knowledge of computer applications including email databases word-processing program and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office). Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems. Provides excellent service to internal and external customers. Make timely informed decisions that take into account the facts goals constraints and risks with information gathered and analyzed. Ensures that decisions are made based on policies rules and organizational directives to solve emerging problems. Maintains confidentiality while processing and handling confidential information with discretion. Recovers quickly from setbacks and maintains professional composure. Can handle frequent interruptions and can multi-task. Creates a work environment that promotes and encourages team members participation to attain common and individual objectives. Leadership and management skills with a proven ability to coordinate employees teams and departments with different skills and backgrounds.
