Location: This is a hybrid role with regular in-person collaboration at a nearby plant or facility. The preferred location is Riverside CA but we are also open to candidates located near Houston TX Conley/Atlanta GA Sacramento CA or Clackamas/Portland OR.

Note: Manufacturing finance experience is required. Candidates with experience in food manufacturing industrial manufacturing consumer products packaging or related production environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Description

  • Serve as a key financial partner to plant and operations leadership.
  • Analyze production costs labor overhead usage yield efficiency and manufacturing variances.
  • Maintain and support standard costing including labor rates overhead rates and cost components.
  • Prepare accurate daily weekly and monthly financial reports for plant performance.
  • Support month-end close including journal entries accruals reconciliations and plant-level P&L reporting.
  • Lead inventory reconciliation processes for raw materials work in process and finished goods.
  • Support physical inventory counts cycle counts and audit-related activities.
  • Partner with Plant Directors and operations leaders on annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Identify trends cost-saving opportunities waste reduction opportunities and areas for improved operational efficiency.
  • Translate financial data into clear practical insights for production and plant leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
  • 2 years of manufacturing finance cost accounting plant finance or operational finance experience.
  • Experience preparing financial statements reconciliations variance analysis and month-end close support.
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Power BI or similar data analysis tools preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex data across multiple systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with finance operations production and plant leadership teams.
