Senior Financial Analyst , Amazon Logistics

Amazon seeks a detail-oriented Financial Analyst II to join our NA AMZL finance this role you will be responsible for financial planning 1-3 years out executing the month-end close process and leading entitlement projects that drive overall cost to serve down for our customers. This hands-on position requires excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills as youll work across operations and support teams to influence strategic decisions.

A day in the life
Your day begins with reviewing key financial metrics and preparing performance reports that provide visibility into NA AMZL/RSR operations. Youll collaborate with operations teams to analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement. Throughout the day youll toggle between tactical executionsuch as working on month-end close tasksand strategic planning activities. Youll participate in meetings with cross-functional teams where youll present financial insights and influence decisions that impact the business over the next 1-3 years.

About the team
Our team is small but mighty responsible for managing all NA AMZL/RSR costs for under-the-roof expenses. We work as strategic partners to operations providing financial guidance that drives business performance. Each team member plays a crucial role in supporting Amazons last mile delivery network in North America helping to scale operations efficiently while maintaining financial discipline. We foster a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are valued and team members have opportunities to grow their skills across multiple financial disciplines.

- 4 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- 3 years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 3 years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance) experience

- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
