Senior Financial Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a senior financial accountant to join MW Fasteners finance team. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records supporting month-end and year-end close activities preparing account reconciliations and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role works closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support timely financial reporting strong internal controls audit readiness and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end activities:
  • Prepare company-wide entries payroll depreciation leases
  • Reconcile inter-company and selected banking activity
  • Prepare reserve (E&O bad debt) calculation
  • Owner of credit card program and P&L entries
  • Prepare pre-paid software & insurance expenses
  • Review accounting transactions for accuracy completeness and proper classification
  • ERP to consolidation software reconciliation

• Prepare financial statements management reports and supporting schedules
• Responsible for managing MW Fasteners Admin cost center $12m spend
• Coordinate quarterly balance sheet reviews; administrator of blackline

• Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Assist with tax statutory and compliance reporting requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (CPA CMA MBA preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or 5-8 years of industry experience preferably within manufacturing/industrial space
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

• Experience with inventory accounting fixed assets and intercompany transactions
• Experience in managing audits within public company environment
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP NetSuite Visual Epicor) and consolidation software (Hyperion Adaptive)
• High attention to detail strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
