Senior Facility Maintenance Technician

Hunton Services a division of Hunton Group is seeking a Senior Facility Maintenance Technician. The Senior Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the daily operations maintenance and reliability of facility systems across a diverse portfolio. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance troubleshoots mechanical and electrical systems and helps drive a proactive best-in-class maintenance culture focused on equipment uptime safety and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong mechanical and electrical experience who is comfortable leveraging technology to manage maintenance activities and improve system performance.

Responsibilities:

Facility Operations & Monitoring

• Perform routine facility rounds to assess system performance and identify potential issues
• Monitor HVAC electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation
• Review and respond to system alarms through BAS/BMS platforms
• Verify equipment readiness including redundancy systems and backup functionality

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Execute preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM standards and internal procedures
• Perform inspections filter changes and routine system checks
• Troubleshoot diagnose and repair facility equipment and systems
• Proactively identify and resolve deficiencies before failure occurs

CMMS Utilization (Yardi Facility Manager)

• Create manage and close work orders within Yardi Facility Manager (CMMS)
• Accurately document labor materials and service findings
• Support asset tracking tagging and data integrity within the system
• Monitor preventive maintenance completion and compliance metrics

Leadership & Team Support

• Mentor and support junior technicians in daily operations and technical development
• Assist with training initiatives and standard operating procedure (SOP) development
• Promote a culture of accountability teamwork and continuous improvement

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to all safety protocols including LOTO PPE and JSA requirements
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Identify and report potential safety hazards and ensure corrective actions

Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate and escort third-party contractors on-site
• Ensure vendor work meets quality safety and scope requirements

Inventory & Asset Management

• Maintain tools equipment and inventory levels
• Track and manage spare parts and critical assets

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in facility maintenance HVAC or related field
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience utilizing a CMMS platform (Yardi preferred)

Preferred

• Experience with Yardi Facility Manager
• Relevant technical certifications (HVAC electrical or mechanical)
• EPA Certification
• Familiarity with BAS/BMS systems
