Low Earth orbit is open for business. Varda is accelerating the development of commercial space infrastructure from in-orbit pharmaceutical processing to reliable and economical reentry capsules.Vardas W-Series vehicles are built designed and operated by Varda in-house including the pharmaceutical processing payloads the capsules the C-PICA heat shields and the satellite buses.

Varda is headquartered in El Segundo California where we have offices and a production facility where our vehicles equipment and materials are built integrated and tested. Varda also has offices in Washington DC and Huntsville AL.

The Facilities Senior Electrician is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced electrical installation maintenance and repair work across the organizations facilities. This position ensures compliance with safety standards leads electrical projects mentors junior electricians and supports critical operations to maintain a safe efficient and reliable electrical infrastructure.
Lead and perform electrical maintenance troubleshooting and repairs of building systems lighting and equipment.
Install test and inspect electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
Oversee electrical aspects of construction renovation and facility improvement projects.
Maintain and update electrical schematics panels and as-built documentation.
Supervise train and mentor junior electricians and maintenance staff.
Collaborate with Facilities leadership on preventive maintenance programs and capital projects.
Support emergency response and after-hours repairs as needed.
Ensure compliance with OSHA NEC and internal safety protocols.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade certification required.
ValidJourneyman or Master Electrician License(CA).
5 years of progressive electrical experience in commercial industrial or institutional settings.
Strong knowledge of NEC OSHA safety standards and energy systems.
Proven experience leading projects and mentoring staff.
Ability to read blueprints schematics and technical diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience in facilities management building automation or energy efficiency systems.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Associates or bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
100% onsite role; may involve climbing lifting (up to 50 lbs) and working at heights or in confined spaces.
Exposure to electrical hazards and mechanical systems; PPE required.
Ability to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
- Hourly Salary range: $35.00 - $48.00/hour
