Senior Estimator

A well-established industrial manufacturing and engineering organization is seeking a Senior Estimator to develop accurate competitive and technically sound cost estimates and proposals for large-scale equipment and capital projects. This position works closely with sales engineering manufacturing procurement and project management teams to support customer proposals and drive successful project execution.

The ideal candidate will have experience estimating complex industrial equipment manufacturing systems process equipment combustion systems material handling systems or large industrial construction projects.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial equipment and capital projects.
• Develop budgetary conceptual and firm-price proposals.
• Analyze customer specifications RFQs technical drawings and process requirements.
• Size and configure equipment solutions based on customer production and operational requirements.

• Define project scope assumptions inclusions and exclusions.
• Evaluate site conditions that may impact project costs including foundations utilities demolition access and lifting requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to clarify project requirements.

• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Review pricing lead times commercial terms and technical compliance.
• Compare quotations against historical project data and internal benchmarks.

• Assist in preparing comprehensive proposal packages including:
  • Scope of supply
  • Technical descriptions
  • Commercial terms and conditions
  • Pricing and payment schedules
  • Delivery timelines
• Support technical reviews bid clarifications and customer discussions.

• Identify technical commercial and execution risks.
• Apply contingency factors and escalation considerations.
• Support pricing strategy discussions and margin analysis.

• Maintain estimating databases pricing tools and cost models.
• Track actual project costs versus estimates to improve forecasting accuracy.
• Develop and maintain estimating templates and standards.

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Industrial Technology or related field preferred.
• 5 years of estimating experience within industrial manufacturing capital equipment process systems heavy industrial projects or related industries.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings specifications and engineering documentation.
• Experience developing detailed cost estimates involving materials labor subcontractors freight commissioning and installation costs.
• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software tools.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Industrial furnaces combustion systems thermal processing equipment material handling systems environmental systems or heavy manufacturing equipment.
• Industrial construction EPC manufacturing metals foundry or process industries.
